Community Outreach

MISSION CIRCLE

The Mission Circle is a group of United Methodist Women who work on local mission projects, such as the Preemie Project, which makes hearts and hats for babies in the Neonatal Care Unit at local hospitals.
Meetings: 1st Wednesday of the month from 9:30- 11:30 am in the parlor of the Family Life Center.

BACKPACK MINISTRIES

The Backpack Ministries provides weekend food for students. We collect and package food for 5 schools (2 elementary schools, 2 middle schools and one high school) in our area for students that are identified by school counselors. For more information, contact Linda Hollis.

OTHER VARIOUS MINISTRIES

  • Blessings Bags—For homeless (coordinated by our youth)

  • North Greenville Crisis Ministry—Give food for local food pantry; serve at the pantry

  • Preemie Project—Make developmental hearts for premature newborns

  • Pillowcase Project—Handmade pillowcase and care package for children in DSS custody

  • Salkehatchie Summer Service—work alongside youth on home repair

  • United Methodist Men—Various service projects; Home repairs for church members

  • Various annual projects: Teacher Goodie Bags, Epworth Children’s Home offerings, Cookie Couriers, Christmas Eve Offering, Souperbowl of Caring, Ashes-to-Go, CROP Walk, Campus Clean-up days, Inter-faith Service Projects, etc.
